建立了非常著名的拜占廷研究中心，目前他已經著手對所有拜占廷史料進行梳理，收集有關突厥起源各民族歷史的史料。他的作品具有最偉大的實用價值，因為他以極為廣闊的視野解釋其主題，因此實際上在所有拜占廷歷史作品中都找到了相關材料。而且，他對所有相關材料都逐一作出簡潔但老道的描述，並對手稿和版本以及更重要的第二等權威作品給出價值無法估量的信息。我們可以毫不誇張地將其作品與卡爾&iddot;科隆巴赫爾的《拜占廷文獻史》相提並論。事實上，這部作品是那部出版於50年前的巨著的重要補充。對於拜占廷學者而言，這兩部作品都是不可缺少的。
